EXERCISE - State EOC Support Pueblo Chemical Depot Following Accident- EXERCISE


EXERCISE - EXERCISE

 The State EOC has been notified of an accident at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.  The State EOC continues to support resource needs and provide technical assistance to Pueblo County and the Chemical Depot.

EXERCISE  PUEBLO CHEMICAL DEPOT, Colorado. At 9:33 a.m.today, the Pueblo Chemical Depot Operations Center was notified of an accident in the chemical storage area. Depot emergency crews are responding. This is a separate incident to the county mutual aid response.

All personnel on the Depot property have been notified and are reporting to their assigned emergency locations. Personnel with no emergency response duties, contractors and tenants are asked to report to their supervisors for further instructions. 

The safety of all individuals on the Depot, the surrounding community, and the environment remains the primary concerns of depot officials and the U.S. Army.  EXERCISE

Heath Department Places Health Precautions
Pueblo, CO – Due to recent flooding in Pueblo County, the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment advises the public to follow public health safety recommendations:
·        Do not allow children or pets to play in the floodwater, nor allow children to play with toys that have been in contact with the water
·        Individuals who have come into contact with the water should wash their hands frequently with soap and clean, warm water. If clothing or shoes get wet, they should be removed and washed in warm water.
·        If a person is exposed to the water and has open wounds, they should contact a physician or local health department for guidance regarding receiving tetanus and/or other immunizations.

EXERCISE - State EOC Transitions to Level 3 Supporting Pueblo County - EXERCISE

EXERCISE - EXERCISE


The State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) transitioned to level three operations based on increasing complexities and needs from Pueblo County.  Pueblo County's EOC is activated to support flooding and a hazmat incident at a local school.
