EXERCISE State EOC Activated to Support Summit County Earthquake
State EOC Overview
The Colorado State EOC was activated at 8:30 a.m. on October 16, 2019 due to a 6.5 magnitude earthquake on the evening of Monday, October 14th impacting a large portion of Summit County. The Colorado State EOC is activated at a Level 1. Full activation of the SEOC and/or a federal Joint Field Office has been established, with representatives from lead and supporting state departments, federal agencies and other supporting organizations.Governor Polis verbally declared a State of Emergency on October 16, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. This allows the State of Colorado to provided funding and resources to the impacted area.
The State EOC is also monitoring state wide impacts due to the earthquake.
