The State Emergency Operations Center has been activated to support Pueblo County as they respond to two incidents:
- The first incident involves a Hazmat incident in North Avondale. The incident involved an accident between a train and derailment and could endanger residents in the immediate vicinity.
- The second incident involves an accident at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.
The State Emergency Operations Center is operational as of 9:49 a.m. DHSEM Regional Field Managers are at the Pueblo EOC providing support. The DHSEM Strategic Communications Manager is also in Pueblo providing public information support at the Joint Information Center.
The Pueblo County Emergency Operations Center has been activated and the Joint Information Center is operational.
