EXERCISE Boulder OEM Updates on Shelter Locations for Mine Road Fire

EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE

*Please note the name change from NCR Exercise Fire to Mine Road Fire for the fire currently burning in Boulder*

Shelter update from Boulder Office of Emergency Management (OEM):

Two Boulder shelters are now open to the public.
1) East Boulder Recreation Center is located at 5660 Sioux Drive
2) South Boulder Recreation Center is located at 1360 Gillaspie Drive

The shelter cannot accommodate pets or animals, but Boulder Animal Control will be on hand at both shelters to assist the public with their animals. Livestock can be taken to the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont.

If you are in need of shelter, do not go to Nederland Community Shelter as that shelter is full.

If you are within the evacuation radius of one mile of 210 Brook Road, you can use Lee Hill Road or Linden Drive to evacuate to New Day Church at 28th Street and Jay Road.

Residents at the Boulder Homeless Shelter are being bused to the East Boulder Recreation Center.

If you feel concerned for your safety, please self evacuate immediately and do not await on an
official evacuation declaration.
